About Us

Situated in the North Western Sydney suburb of Kellyville, Springbank Performance Horses was recently established in 2009, after producing our first foal, bred from the frozen semen of a special little stallion we discovered in 2005.

Al Nebu Fahil (Cisco) as we named him (translation similar to 'The Gold Stallion' in Arabic) was nothing but a scrawny, unstarted pony when we first laid eyes on him at the Blacktown Pound in January 2005. A couple of weeks later, we purchased him for peanuts at the Camden Horse sales, not knowing what potential lay ahead.

With a lot of help from friends, Monique BAKER and Helena SHANAL, and a bit of elbow grease, this little diamond in the rough scrubbed up to be one of the most successful dressage ponies in NSW during 2005 to 2007.

Without knowing his history and breeding, but certain of his superb temperament, stunning looks, and incredible train-ability, I knew I wanted to breed from him, so this amazing little pony could leave his mark on the world and produce performance horses and ponies that posses his beautiful qualities.

In 2006, we came upon a lovely warmblood mare by Salute, who I knew would complement Ciscos qualities. After an unsuccessful breeding in 2007, we were blessed with the birth of Springbank Arella in 2009.

Sudden Impact is currently in foal again to Cisco, with the expected due date in November 2010.

With the impending birth of our first human baby in September 2010, finances permitting, I would love to continue breeding in the near future, and eventually purchase a further mare/mares of different performance types, as I am sure Cisco will produce many stars of the future.
